Alexander’s Barn built around 1876 has been converted to provide lovely "commended" self-catering accommodation for two people or small family. Situated in a quiet village with uninterrupted views and amidst superb Lake District walking country. With stunning views of Ennerdale Lake and Valley, the wooden beamed livingroom is on the first floor and provides just the place to relax in the window seats and enjoy the view after that lovely walk, bike ride or shopping trip. From here you can see the sunset reflected on the mountains or watch the array of wild birds from finches to buzzards. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished with sofa bed-settee, dining table and chairs. There is plenty of books and magazines as well as a television, DVD player and stereo, we try to provide that 'home from home' feeling. A patio door that leds down into your own private garden to sit on a warm summer evening and enjoy a glass of wine or two. The compact but well equipped kitchen with 4 ring hob, table top oven and microwave, you should have everything you need to prepare a lovely meal at the end of the day.
