The cottage provides luxurious self catering accommodation for between five and seven guests within three charming bedrooms. It is situated on the edge of the former mining village so enjoys a degree of seclusion whilst being in easy reach of local amenities.
Barn Cottage is located in the village of Dearham, a fairly large village with a good number of amenities including four pubs, a fish and chip shop, a very popular pie shop and a post office/convenience store. Further out from Dearham, two miles to the east is the seaside town of Maryport with its strong Roman history and excellent modern attractions such as the Wave Centre, a £3.3million entertainment and visitor centre with theatre/cinema, multi functional space for conferences etc, a heritage centre and bistro cafe. Maryport also hosts an annual Blues Festival that attracts well known names from the Blues music scene.

Barn Cottage is capable of sleeping up to seven guests, with three attractive, light and airy bedrooms split across both floors of the cottage. The first floor houses the double master bedroom, with its feature stone wall, and the twin bedroom, whilst the ground floor has a single room. All three bedrooms feature matching pine furnishing and are served by a disabled-friendly wet-room downstairs and a traditional family bathroom with overhead shower bath on the upper floor. The property has two sitting rooms, a typical lounge on the ground floor with electric stove fire and entertainment options, and a sun-room on the first floor also with entertainment options. A good sized modern kitchen completes the accommodation, with all mod-cons.

The cottage also has outdoor space with furniture on patios and parking for guests vehicles. Oil-fired central heating warms the whole property. Fuel and energy costs are covered by the rental fee and towels, bed linen are too. Guests with infants can request a cot, high-chair and stair-gate.
