Nestling just south of Hawkshead and Beatrix Potter Country, Thwaite Bridge House cottage in the Central Lakes is the perfect touring base within easy reach of boat trips on Lake Windermere and Coniston Water. Lakeside family attractions on the edge of Lake Windermere including the Lakeland Motor Museum and steam railway nestle close by as does Beatrix Potter's historic home Hill Top in Far Sawrey, situated just north of the cottage. Grizedale forest's fantastic choice of woodland walking and cycling trails are just north of the cottage whilst to the north west is beautiful Coniston Water featuring more spectacular boat trips and the lakeside historic home of John Ruskin - Brantwood. Just a few miles to the south is the stunning Lakes Peninsula where you can sample Cartmel toffee sauces in specialist shopping favourite Cartmel village. Visit the ancient Cartmel Priory, take scenic strolls along the Promenade flanking Morecambe Bay at Grange over Sands and don't miss a visit to the superb Laurel & Hardy Museum in Ulverston. A 'chocolate box' Lakeland cottage accommodating 8 guests across two floors. The cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedrooms include a spectacular Master Suite equipped with double bed, en-suite bathroom, ipod player and a delightful dressing room with bath/ basin & WC. The other bedrooms are a double, a twin with feature fireplace and a bunk bed room perfect for children. The separate fully equipped bathroom has a corner bath with shower over plus WC/ wash basin. Living space on the ground floor is beautifully presented featuring a stunning Farmhouse Kitchen with feature flagged floor, ipod player, dishwasher and a range cooker. The Lounge boasts spectacular oak panelled walls and ample comfy seating for 8 guests plus a warming woodburner and Sky Freesat TV package. Additional rooms are a Study/ reading room, a beautiful light and airy conservatory with garden views and a utility room with washing machine and dryer plus storage space and an extra WC.
