The accommodation is set in 1.5 acre grounds in a central elevated position and commands superb panoramic Lake District views towards the Skiddaw mountains; Latrigg and on to the Helvellyn range in the distance. The market town of Keswick is just 2 miles away. With 5 eating places, including 2 pubs, all within a short stroll and numerous walks from the doorstep, Braithwaite is an ideal and convenient place to stay, just away from the noise and bustle of Keswick town.

Our aim is to provide a friendly, relaxed and homely atmosphere, good food and comfortable surroundings in which you can relax and enjoy your stay in the Lake District. Thelmea is double glazed and has full central heating. In the comfortable guests' lounge overlooking the garden there is a selection of games and books including walking and guide books of the area. In the garden there are lots of different areas, so you can find a sunny patch, or sit in the shade under a tree to read a book and relax or even try your hand at sketching one of the magnificent panoramic mountain views. There is a patio and open porch at the front of the house where guests often relax with a complimenary pot of tea or coffee to unwind after their exertions of the day and chat with other guests.
