The Mount is a friendly and comfortable B&B set in the charming village of Portinscale, just a mile from Keswick. We offer a choice of single, double and twin rooms, all with en suite or private facilities. All rooms are equipped with TV & DVD player (and a range of DVDs to loan) iron and ironing board, hairdryer and a well stocked hospitality tray which includes a delicious range of beverages, snacks and even a piece of world famous Kendal mint cake.

There is ample private parking and a lockable store for cyles. We also offer drying facilities for wet clothing and can supply packed lunches on request. So unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet of the village or stroll into Keswick and sample the excellent choice of shops, pubs, restaurants and much more. Here at the Mount, we operate a 'no smoking' policy for the comfort of our guests. We offer three double and one twin room all with en-suite and a single room with a private shower room. Rooms at the front of the house have spectacular views over Derwentwater while those at the back look out over Skiddaw. A log fire awaits our guests who wish to relax in the sitting room on those chilly evenings.
