The Glenburn Hotel is a Stylish, elegant family run hotel tastefully improved and upgraded over the years to become one of the most popular hotels in Windermere. Our guests return time after time to enjoy the excellent service, delicious food and comfort of the 16 charming bedrooms. Ideally situated between Windermere and the lake at Bowness. Delightful restaurant and cosy bar/lounge with draught ale and fine wines from around the world. We have a 2 night minimum stay weekends.

River Cottage is in the grounds of The Glenburn Hotel and is a no-smoking and no-pets deluxe three-bedroom property which sleeps up to six including two children. On the ground floor there is a hallway leading to the large family bathroom, a cloakroom and a large double bedroom overlooking the woods and stream with a dressing room attached. There is also a further children's bedroom with single bunk beds.Minimum stay three nights The stairs then lead to the first floor where there is another double bedroom and a large lounge area with a flat screen TV and DVD player. There is a a fitted kitchen and a dining area with patio doors leading to a balcony, which overlooks the stream and woods. A travel cot is also available.

Rooms Description

There are four different types of bedrooms available at the Glenburn Hotel, with eight on the first floor and eight on the second floor. All have complimentary tea and coffee facilities as standard, and include satellite TV and hairdryers. All rooms at The Glenburn are ensuite and, of course, are immaculately kept. The Glenburn is strictly a non-smoking hotel. The hotel has twin, double and family rooms in addition to deluxe four-poster bedrooms with spa baths, rain showers and little extra touches which make a world of difference.
