Parma Violet Accommodation (so called as it is situated over our wonderfully eclectic gift shop, which once sold sweets!) is a period self catering property on 2 floors, centrally located in the Georgian market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. We sleep 4 (+ sofa bed if required) and offer discounted weekend/mid week stays in addition to full weeks. Expect the highest level of both quality (Farrow and Ball colours throughout!) and cleanliness, but more importantly we would like you to enjoy the special touches we have lovingly provided including the hand painted mousehole on the stairs,(no residents!)cosy woodburner,COMPLIMENTARY Welcome Hamper with wine for all guests, and even a chance to walk off your dinner!(Shop Labrador Bunty loves her river walks!)

The town itself is also, quite simply, rather special too and provides the best of both worlds, whether you are a family, couple, walker or shopper! The 17th century speciality and independantly owned shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs etc... (some of which are award winning) are worth the visit alone, not to mention the magnificent setting. Ruskin described the view over the church yard and Devils Bridge such, "I do not know a place more naturally devine!" Being ideally placed half way between the Lakes and the Dales, but quieter than both, we guarantee you an unforgettable stay!

The accommodation offers the following: Separate entrance and staircase to Floor one. FLOOR ONE: Large and very light LOUNGE decorated in a duck egg blue checked nordic style, with full length sash windows,window seats, woodburning stove(COMPLIMENTARY logs/kindling etc), and chocolate brown leather sofa bed (will sleep an extra 1-2 persons) over looking the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale and the hills beyond. Flat screen TV/CD/DVD player. Lots of lovely books, DVDs, games and a Roberts radio for all those Archers fans! NEW modern and well appointed dining KITCHEN,with fan assisted oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.Decorated with cheery Cath Kidston blinds and red spotty seating area! FREE WELCOME HAMPER FOR ALL GUESTS TO INCLUDE EXCITING 'EXTRAS' AT EASTER, CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR!!! Compact UTILITY room housing washer/drier...invaluable for families and wet walking socks! Landing and staircase to Floor Two: FLOOR TWO: Really beautiful and good sized master BEDROOM with LARGE KING SIZED 5ft bed (v. comfy!), sash windows with shutters and exposed beams. Painted french style furniture and antique mirror. Wonderfully cute second BEDROOM,comprising twin painted wooden beds (very Enid Blyton!) and exposed beam. Fresh and ultra modern BATHROOM in white, featuring a ceiling mounted power shower,full length bath and circular corner sink. Heated towel rail and chrome fittings. ALL BEDDING AND TOWELS ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE. Electric Heating throughout. SORRY NO DOGS, SMOKING OR HEN/STAG PARTIES. ALSO NO STAYS OF LESS THAN 3 NIGHTS.
