Set at the top of the village of Brow Edge close to Lake Windermere. Our outlook is across the River Leven and to The Old Man of Coniston, with open fells and ancient woodland adjacent to the garden. We are ideally placed for exploring the central and southern Lake District with many attractions only a few minutes drive away. A perfect location for walking, adventure sports, sight seeing or just taking it easy. With the sea only a few miles away why not spend a day on the beach bird watching or toad spotting at coastal nature reserves. Or kite surfing and building sand castles can make a pleasant change from the lakes and hills.

The accommodation itself is a beautifully, and lovingly, renovated 2 bedroom apartment which is part of a 150 year old house. We have kept all the old character, in the way of beams and curved walls but it also has all the up to date features which you would expect in your own home such as central heating. The spacious living room has a wood burning stove for the traditionalists and TV, DVD and Hi Fi for those who want modern day facilities. The modern, well equipped kitchen has all that you will need to create gastronomic feasts during your stay. What's more you can gaze out over the stream and into the garden whilst the dishwasher does its work.
