Ellerthwaite Lodge B&B is only 2 minutes from the centre of Windermere village which offers a choice of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. Lake Windermere, at 12 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, is the largest natural lake in England. Lakeland's most popular holiday resort - is an excellent centre for boating activities, with over 10,000 boats registered. Steamers and launches operate from Bowness Bay to Waterhead at Ambleside and Lakeside at the southern end. Around the area there is a wealth of things to see and do. Cruise on Windermere, visit the boat museum, aquarium of the lakes, steam railway or the Beatrix Potter Exhibition in Bowness.

Rooms Description

Ellerthwaite Lodge B&B has a range of rooms available, all with en-suite facilities. Comprising 10 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 3 family rooms each of which is individual in their own way. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, TV with 10 channels, hair dryer and ironing board. Guests are provided with their own key so you can come and go as they please. On the first floor of the property there is a lounge area for guests to sit, read, watch TV or just let time pass by with views out over Windermere. On the ground floor there are two spacious breakfast rooms where you can enjoy our continental and full cooked Cumbrian breakfast. In one of the rooms we have a charming Grandfather clock that chimes every quarter of an hour.

Specialities

There is a large parking area to the rear of the house which provides a safe and secure place to park your car. To the right of the hotel are the spacious library gardens ablaze with azaleas and rhododendrons in the spring and also just 5 minute's walk to is the public park with children's play area, tennis courts and cricket ground.
