A charming 19th century house providing bed and breakfast accommodation just a short walk from the shores of beautiful Lake Windermere. At Ellerthwaite Lodge you can enjoy a short break or stay a little longer if you please. Being located two minutes from the centre of Windermere village we are ideally situated for a wide range of bars and restaurants, which is why we chosen only to cater for breakfasts.

On the first floor of the property there is a lounge area for guests to sit, read, watch TV or just let time pass by with views out over Windermere. On the ground floor there are two spacious breakfast rooms where you can enjoy our continental and full cooked Cumbrian breakfast. In one of the rooms we have a charming Grandfather clock that chimes every quarter of an hour.

Rooms Description

We have a range of rooms available, all of which have en-suite facilities. We offer 10 double rooms, 2 twin rooms and 3 family rooms each of which is individual in their own way. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, TV with 10 channels, hair dryer and ironing board. Guests are provided with their own key so you can come and go as you please.
