Three fabulous self catering holiday cottages sleeping 2, 4,10 12 or 26 within two acres of gardens at Lamplugh in the heart of the English Lake District.

Three self catering cottages set in two acres of gardens in the small village of Lamplugh in the Lake District. The houses were recently used in the filming of 'Miss Potter' with Renee Zellwegger. The main house offers stylish accommodation for up to ten people, Croft House is a converted barn sleeping up to twelve, whilst Rose Cotttage sleeps four. Each house has its own garden and they all face in different directions to ensure privacy.

Lamplugh is the prefect place to explore the fells, rivers, lakes and tarns of this beautiful part of the Lake District. There are a variety of walks from your front door, or Loweswater Lake is just four miles away, with Buttermere and Crummock just a mile or two beyond. The village pub is only a mile and a half away. Millgillhead has three twin bedrooms and two double bedrooms in addition to a large comfortable sitting room and fully equipped kitchen/separate dining area. Croft Cottage has a large dining room and living area, fully fitted kitchen. The cottage sleeps twelve in three double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and a bunk bedroom. Rose Cottage has an open plan kitchen/living area a double and a twin bedroom.

Directions

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 40 (Penrith). Follow the A66 to the Cockermouth roundabout (where the Sheep & Wool centre is). Turn left at the roundabout (signed Egremont). Go along this road to Lamplugh You will see a row of terraced houses on your left and a turn off to Asby/Workington on your right. Just after the row of terraced houses, turn left (this is signed Lamplugh church - there are several signed turnings to Lamplugh church, this is the second one). If you see the Lamplugh Tip Pub on your right, then you have gone just slightly too far. Go along this road past some houses, then past open space. Millgillhead is the second house on your right after the open space. . (if you get to the end of the road, you have gone too far).
