The Hall is superbly located for exploring all that the area has to offer, including the village of Hawkshead with all its cafes, shops and inns, Grizedale Forest and the now world famous home of Beatrix Potter in Near Sawrey. Ideally situated just 1.5 miles from Hawkshead village centre this family run Bed and Breakfast, offers a unique blend of tranquillity and comfort where you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome.

Esthwaite Old Hall is an ideal base for exploring all the English Lake District has to offer, being in a prime location in the Lake District National Park within easy reach of many popular tourist attractions such as Lake Windermere, Ambleside, Grizedale Forest, Coniston and Tarn Hows. Hawkshead is a delightful little village full of character and charm, with, for its size, a surprising range of tourist attractions including a 17th century elevated church with fine views across Esthwaite water to Latterbarrow and a Beatrix Potter gallery, owned by the National Trust, featuring exhibitions of Beatrix Potter's original artwork and drawings. If you enjoy shopping there's plenty to choose from, with outdoor clothing and equipment stores selling top brands, or several quality gift shops with local crafts and produce. There is also a choice selection of tea rooms, cafés and pubs serving everything from tasty snacks to fine meals.

Esthwaite Old Hall B&B has a choice of double, twin and family rooms. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with power showers, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryers and televisions with DVD players and digital Freeview. All the rooms have been recently refurbished and are comfortably finished. A choice of full English breakfast, or a lighter breakfast with vegetarian and gluten free option is served in the light and airy breakfast room. There is a spacious residents’ lounge, which is a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine or beer in front of the wood-burning stove after a hard day’s walking or shopping. The south-facing garden with its stunning views has plenty of seating and tables is also a popular place for guests to sit out and enjoy the scenery on a pleasant summer's day. There is plenty of free parking in the yard and secure parking is also available for motorcycles and bikes.
