New Ing Lodge offers comfort and luxury with a modern style in the Lake District National Park.
The Wainwright Coast to Coast walk passes directly past the Lodge.New Ing Lodge was formerly a working farm and now offers en-suite rooms, bunk rooms and campling facilities to visitors to Shap in the Northern Lake District. The farm lies a few metres off the once busy A6 and Wainwright's Coast to Coast route passes right by the door, making this an ideal stop over en-route. The East Lakes are easily reached from here including Eden Valley, Hawes Water, Ullswater, High Street, Askham Fell as well as the less visited Howgill Fells and the West Pennines.
A variety of activites are available from the lodge. We provide maps and details for walkers, mountain bikes for hire and an orienteering course runs from our back door. We can also arrange kayaking, climbing and wilderness camping and bushcraft skills courses. In addition to our en-suite rooms, we also offer dormitory and bunk rooms with shower, toilets, kitchen area and a common room. Breakfast is also available to those staying in the bunk rooms at an extra cost. There is an attached two acre paddock to the rear of the lodge offering camping facilities for tents.
