Summer Hill Country House is situated between the popular and picturesque villages of Hawkshead and Coniston. The house, dating back to the 1700's, has been recently refurbished to a very high standard bringing together the traditional features of a large Lakeland residence with contemporary luxury guest accommodation. The house overlooks the tiny hamlet of Hawkshead Hill and the surrounding fells and is within easy walking distance of the renowned beauty spot of Tarn Hows.

Summer Hill is an excellent base from which to tour the outstanding natural beauty of the Lake District with Ambleside, Grasmere and the market town of Kendal all within easy travelling distance. Start the day with a range of breakfast choices served in the Breakfast room with its feature fireplace. Where possible our food is locally sourced and special dietary needs are catered for. Guests have their own comfortable lounge. You are assured of a warm welcome from your hosts Mike, Patsy, Rob and Zoe who aim to ensure that you will leave Summer Hill feeling rested and restored.

Rooms Description

Summer Hill Country House offers three double rooms includng our superior double bedroom. We have 2 twin rooms one of which is currently being refurbished and will be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. All rooms are en-suite and equipped with hair dryer, satellite TV and computer with internet access. A variety of music and dvd's are available for your entertainment on our computer network. All rooms have complementary refreshments available. Wi-fi is also available in most of the public area's.
