In the Loughrigg Suite the roof has turret features and here guests can relax and enjoy the views.Loughrigg Brow is a grade II listed building which was in Victorian times the Ambleside vicarage. We have two apartments for rent in this imposing property, both with stunning fell views towards the Fairfield Horseshoe. The situation is idyllic with the added advantage of being a short stroll to the town. There are walks to Loughrigg Fell and Todd Crag right from the door and lake cruises on Lake Windermere within easy reach. The property looks out over the village of Ambleside to the lake beyond and is surrounded by mature gardens with an abundance of wildlife including badgers, rabbits,deer and red and grey squirrels.
Ambleside is a very popular village situated in the very heart of the Lake District National Park at the northern end of Lake Windermere. The village is reached via a half hour drive from junction 36 of the M6 motorway and has many unique shops, restaurants and cafes to explore. Ambleside provides good access to the rest of the Lake District. It is a short drive to Hawkshead, Grasmere and Coniston. Access to Windemere and Bowness is also very easy along major roads. The northern town of Keswick is slightly further away either through Grasmere or via the notorious Kirkstone Pass.
Both apartments have a five star rating. THE LOUGHRIGG SUITE sleeps 2/3. The lounge is equipped with TV, basic Sky package and DVD player and Playstation as well as CD player. Steps lead down to a fully fitted kitchen with all that the self catering visitor will require. There is a single bedroom and double bedroom with shower & sink. THE AMBLESIDE SUITE sleeps 2 - 4. The lounge is similarly equipped and also has a basic Sky TV package. Sleeping accommodation is found in one master double (en-suite)and one double/twin bedroom.
Personally cleaned by the owner to a very high standard. Quality towels & bathrobes provided. Small supply of tea/coffee/sugar & milk in fridge on arrival. Individual parking spaces are allocated to each apartment. Sorry no pets.

Upon reaching Ambleside, follow signs to Hawkshead/Coniston. Immediately after crossing the bridge over the River Rothay take a right hand lane signed Under Loughrigg. The property is half a mile down this lane on the left opposite a small bridge.
