They make ideal bases for exploring the Lake District with it's wealth of natural beauty and fell walking. The Lakes themselves offer sailing, windsurfing & fishing and there is an abundance of wildlife in the area to be admired. Other attractions in the area include Trotters World of Animals at Bassenthwaite - a family favourite with big cats, monkeys and reptiles; many golf courses and Kennedys Fine Chocolates in Orton with it's delicious handmade chocolates.
