The Old Stables dates back to 1816 and accommodates up to four people and two children in the quiet village of Greysouthen, just three miles west of the market town of Cockermouth. The Old Stables is a ground floor conversion and has been newly refurbished for 2008. Greysouthen is on the edge of the Lake District National Park and is perfect for exploring the northern and western areas of Cumbria and the Lake District. Nearby Cockermouth has a number of attractions including Wordsworth House, Jennings Brewery, interesting Georgian architecture and numerous independent shops, galleries, cafes & pubs.
The property is glazed, double height, shared entrance hall, outdoor seating and grass to the front. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, hob and microwave and the lounge/dining area is equipped with a digital TV/DVD, radio and CD player. For those visiting with younger children there is a park and children's play area less than two minute's walk away. The Old Stables provides the ideal home from home base from which to enjoy this wonderful part of the English Lake District.
