Squirrel Bank Self Catering Cottage is 4 star rated and is set in Bowness on Windermere and offers guests beautifully decorated accommodation. Peaceful and quiet, the surrounding area is idyllic and the Bowness Village and Lake Windermere are just under a mile away. The Cottage has recently been redesigned and is on one floor and can sleep two people.

Our knowledge of the Lake District is extensive and we will advise on fell walking, touring or just browsing in this beautiful corner of England. There are numerous activities for all ages. Visit Beatrix Potter museum, Aquarium of the Lakes or Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House. Why not take a cruise across Lake Windermere, walk on the breathtaking fells or for the more adventurous take up water sports at the adventure water sports centre. Windermere also has many little unique shops for you to browse at your leisure. Windermere golf course is close by and is one of the most breathtaking yet challenging courses in England. We offer our guests a complimentary 10% reduction on green fees if booked in advance.

Rooms Description

A wonderful cottage on one level, the cottage comprises of a lounge, kitchen bedroom and fully tiled shower room. The kitchen is wonderfully decorated in cream and pine. There is an electric cooker with double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, toaster and many more appliances. The lounge is alongside the kitchen and also has a very comfortable sofabed for mixed couples who need individual beds. In special circumstances a child may stay and use the sofabed with a supplement. Please enquire when booking. There is a TV,DVD,CD players and a list of films for you to choose from. There is also a dining table for you to sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch or evening dinner. All bed linen, towels etc. supplied. Gas central heating included and in addition a free standing simulated log burning electric stove with fan heater.

Squirrel Bank self catering cottage is decorated to a very high specification. There is a separate parking space alongside and the guests can enjoy their own private garden with garden furniture and barbecue if requested. The owners live in an adjacent property and will be happy to give you guidance and help on every aspect of your holiday, including touring walking and eating out to name but a few.
