The Blue Pig situated in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale is a delightful bed and breakfast, in a newly renovated seventeenth century cottage. The property enjoys the best of both worlds, a quiet base from which to explore this bustling market town, and only 30 yards from our delightful restaurants and shops. Kirby Lonsdale is an ancient town situated at the heart of the of the Lune Valley on the borders of Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire. The town's centre consists of old stone houses and is still home to a regular Thursday markety where visitors will find many delightful speciality shops and restaurants.

Just to the south of the town lies the impressive 13th century Devil's Bridge, so caalled because it is not known exactly when and how it was built, giving rise to speculation that the devil may have constructed it one night. Just ten miles away from Kirby Lonsdale is Sedbergh, nestling in the foothills of the magnificent Howgill Fells. The town is full off character with cobbled yards and fascinating historic houses. Other natural attractions within easy reach include Windermere and the Southern Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the 3 peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast chosen from our varied breakfast menu. Vegetarian breakfasts are available with prior notice and we use fresh bread fro our local bakers with preserves.
