Flitch Cottage offers self catering accommodationfor up to six people in a traditional 18th Cenury farm building. The property is ideally located in the charming hamlet of Motherby, just four miles from the shores of Ullswater. The market town of Penrith is six miles to the east and Keswick is twelve miles away. The northern and eastern fells of the English Lake District, including the popular Blencathra, Helvellyn and High Street Mountains, lie within easy reach for the keen fell walker.

The cottage is superbly placed for touring the local area and The Eden Valley, Yorkshire Dales and Hadrian's Wall all lie within easy reach. Some of the finest facilities in the area are at hand for the canoeist, mountaineer, angler, cyclist or sightseer. The cottage is centrally heated during the cooler months and electric heaters are also supplied for your comfort. A drying room is also made availablee to you for wet outdoor gear. Table tennis is available in one of the barns which form the courtyard. There is a walled garden, available for guests to relax in and space for off road car parking.
