Bank Ground Farm Cottages are situated within 60 acres of outstanding Lake District countryside between the villages of Coniston and Hawkshead. These exquisite cottages vary in size and can sleep from 2 to 16 people. There are five adjoining cottages in total and each one enjoys breathtaking views over Lake Coniston to COnsiton Old man and the surrounding fells. Each cottage has been lovingly restored and converted to luxury holiday accommodation. Additionally, Bank Ground Farm benefits from over half a mile of Lake Coniston frontage with a boating area and jetty for the use of the guests who are able to hire or bring their own boats.

Bankground is the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst it's central location means it is also ideally situated for guests to make the most of all the lake district has to offer. Walking, cycling, boating and fishing are right on the doorstep and there are so many leisure activities on offer in and around the nearby villages, including golf, off road adventures, rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing, high ropes courses, shooting, horse riding, and ballooning. For guests who would rather be pampered, there is a fabulous Spa and leisure centre near by. Local attractions include a ride on a Gondola - an elegant steam yacht, or how about a visit to Brantwood, the stunning former home of John Ruskin. You can also visit Beatrix Potter's house Hill Top at Sawry where all her belongings still remain.

Beckfoot and Wynmoor sleep up to 4 in a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The Stables sleeps up to 5. 1 Double bedroom with 4 poster bed, en-suite bathroom and walk in wardrobe, 1 double/twin room and a single room. Specialities

There is a tearoom located in the farmhouse that is open to both residents and non-residents and serves hot and cold drinks as well as delicious home made cakes and scones. We also have a bar in the main house which our cottage guests are welcome to use and we offer a catering service providing home cooked meals made with local produce to all of our cottages.
