This is the ideal place for larger families and groups of friends. The Big Holiday House in Cumbria, also known as Fawcett Mill Holidays, is a fabulous house that sleeps up to 24 guests. Friends and families alike can enjoy partying, dining, or just to enjoy time together in this beautiful part of the Cumbrian countryside. The house can also be used as a function room or as a small conference centre. Fawcett Mills is set in five acres of gardens in a secluded valley, mid way between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The Mill dates back to 1517 and has been lovingly restored over many years to include all the modern conveniences with a traditional touch.

There are five acres of ground scattered around the property, with the river being the central focus. There is a courtyard at the front of the mill and it is gated from the river and makes a safe place for young children to play. A bit further afield there is a 1/2 acre lawn, woodland large pond and wildlife garden. Throughout the grounds there are various garden furniture for guests to use at their leisure.
