Brackenthwaite Farm offers a choice of comfortable historic cottage accommodation in the Arnside/Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are situated outside the village of Yealand Redmayne towards Arnside, surrounded by fields and woodland. On a clear day there are beautiful views of the Lakeland hills, Arnside Knott and Farlton Knott. Our four holiday cottages form part of an attractive 17th Century complex of limestone buildings set around a large private courtyard. The cottages are available all year round to guests, and short breaks may be taken between November and Easter. Midweek short breaks (minimum 3 nights) may also be available during the high season at short notice. Please contact us for details.
The four cottages include Brackenthwaite Cottage which sleeps 6, No.1 The Old Stables which also sleeps 6 (maximum of 4 adults), No.2 The Old Stables which sleeps 4 and Keepers Cottage which also sleeps 4. Situated on a 70 acre farm with woodland. We have a small outdoor play area is available to guests, as well as a pond for observing ornamental waterfowl, and farm nature trails, where buzzards, deer and many wild flowers can be seen. An outdoor seating and barbeque area offers guests the perfect spot for relaxation. We allow one well-behaved dog per cottage (except Brackenthwaite Cottage) and visitors may also bring their own horse on holidays, as there are stabling and grazing facilities. Sorry, but smoking is not permitted in any of the cottages.
