Five superbly comfortable cottages enjoying quiet positions within 500 metres of Ambleside's shops, restaurants and cinemas. Ambleside is at the north end of Lake Windermere and from here you can take the lake ferries to Bowness and beyond. Our vacation homes are at the heart of Cumbria's Lake District National Park containing England's highest mountains - Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.

Besides walking, climbing, scrambling, cruising, and watersports, attractions to visit include Beatrix Potter’s house and gallery at Hawkshead and exhibition at Bowness, Wordsworth’s homes at Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage, Grasmere, Ruskin’s home at Brantwood, Coniston, steam trains at Lakeside/Haverthwaite and Ravenglass/Eskdale, and many more. Our comfortable country homes are ideally situated for all these activities.

Double and single bedroom plus bathroom (bath with shower over) on first floor, double and single bedroom top floor. Washbasins in 3 bedrooms. • COURT END: Modern 3 bedroom cottage by wooded Stockghyll waterfall park. Lounge/dining room, kitchen (including dishwasher) and loo downstairs; first floor has double, twin and single bedrooms and bathroom (bath with shower over). Sleeps 5. Garage plus 1 parking space. • OAKS COTTAGE: Delightful 2 bedroom converted C17th farmhouse (part). Good size living room with exposed oak beams, dining and kitchen areas downstairs. Upstairs has one double and one twin bedroom, bathroom includes shower over bath. Sleeps 4. • SMITHY BROW: Grade II listed traditional Lakeland 2 bedroom cottage, beamed ceilings. Central. Lounge, dining room and galley kitchen downstairs. One double, & one twin bedroom plus bathroom upstairs. Sleeps 4.
