Paul and Lynn welcome you to The Red Lion Inn, set right in the heart of the beautiful village of Hawkshead, Cumbria. This delightful B&B is the perfect base from which to explore Hawkshead, Windemere, Keswick, Ambleside and Bowness. We offer either B&B or full board accommodation. The Red Lion Inn is a traditional 15th Century Lakeland Inn, infact it's the oldest pub in Hawkshead. We are located in one of the quieter parts of the Lake District, therefore perfect for a relaxing break.

You will find homecooked food in our bar area at lunch and dinner times. Our menu changes regularly and daily specials are on offer using the finest Cumbrian produce according to the season, succulent hill lamb and beef, fresh fish and seasonal vegetables. We also offer some fantastic vegetarian dishes. Our bar retains it's original oak panels and traditional fireplace from the 18th century. We stock a wide range of wines and spirits and superbly kept cask ales from the surrounding area. Our 8 ensuite rooms have their own individual charm and original features such as sloping ceilings, uneven floors and oak beams. We have a four poster room available for that special occasion. We're the perfect place to come back to after a busy day exploring.
