Old Lake Rd is to the east of Lake Rd (main road from Ambleside centre to Windermere) and runs from opposite the 'top' of Kelsick Rd (50 m from main bus stop)joining Lake Rd again opposite Hayes Garden Centre entrance. Hostel is 200 m from either end of Old Lake Rd at its highest point.
