We are nicely situated in Ambleside in the beautiful and romantic Lake District. A short 5 minute walk from the doorstep finds you in the picturesque village with its quaint cafes and quirky shops. The area is home to Hill Top house where Beatrix Potter lived and wrote many of her Peter Rabbit tales, it is well worth a visit during your stay. Of course the surrounding Lakeland area is well known for its array of outdoor activities, from walks and cycle paths through spectacular scenery to boat hire and watersports on Lake Windermere. With so many activities and sights nearby all the family is sure to have a wonderful stay!

We offer 6 guest bedrooms. There are 2 double en suite rooms. We have 2 single rooms with their own private bathrooms down the hall. There are 2 en suite family rooms, one with a double and 2 single beds and one with a double and single bed. All rooms boast tea and coffee making facilities, a colour TV, and hairdryer. Put up beds and cots are available on request.

Directions
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 and turn left onto the A591 towards Windermere. After approximately 5 miles you will come to a roundabout where you need to carry straight on, heading towards Windermere. After 10 miles you will come to a mini-roundabout where you again need to carry straight on heading towards Ambleside. After another 5 miles you will reach a set of traffic lights. Carry straight on and after approximately half a mile you will find Lyndale Guest House on the right hand side of the road, opposite Hayes Garden World. Free overnight parking available 6pm to 9am at Lowfold pay & display car park 100 yards from Lyndale Guest House.
