Slack Cottage sits within 10 acres of grounds bordering the quiet western shore of Lake Windermere. It's a quiet and secluded spot, making it the perfect relaxing B&B experience. We're just four miles from Ambleside and one and a half miles from Hawkshead. The cottage is also of real historical interest as it's a 300 year old listed building which was once owned by Beatrix Potter. It has been carefully furnished in the classic Lakeland cottage style and has full central heating.

Local walks are easily accessible, including quiet paths over the Latterbarrow fell and Claife Heights. Two rooms are available to guests, including a double room en-suite (stunning lake and mountain veiws) and a twin/super king en-suite ( very good lake and mountain views). Both are individually furnished, providing stylish and homely accommodation. Other amenities include a colour television and video with a wide range of films.Excellant hot/cold drink trays are provided. The warm sheltered garden is yours to enjoy, daffodils and bluebells in spring, glorious colours in autumn, and a profusion of plants and wildlife, including red squirrels and deer.
