Raise View House Bed and Breakfast is a superb guest house situated in Grasmere in the Heart of the English Lake District. Non smoking throughout, we are a traditional Lakeland Stone House with magnificent views of the surrounding fells. The house dates from the 1900s and was once a village shop. Offering an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness, we are just five minutes walk from the centre of the village and perfectly situated to explore the whole region. Rooms Description

Raise View's seven ensuite bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and furnished with style, complementing the ambience of this traditional Lakeland house. The rooms are named after local interest and all rooms enjoy fine views with the four rooms at the back of the house sharing the majestic splendour of the Easedale and surrounding fells. All rooms are well appointed with fully co-ordinated soft furnishings. Luxury crisp white linen and fluffy white towels are standard in all rooms. Wordsworth, Stone Arthur and Easedale are slightly more spacious. The doubles have king size beds and the twin has been recently re-furnished in a beautiful range of floral pastel fabrics and furniture.Jackdaw, Helm Crag, Rothay and Easedale enjoy the magical view to the back of the house, which is a joy to wake up to. Gingerbread is our popular single room and is well appointed and cosy. All our bedrooms are wonderfully peaceful.

Specialities

Perfect for romantic Lakeland breaks, Raise View House has built up a reputation for good food. Traditional meals are prepared using fresh and wherever possible local ingredients. Classical white Wedgwood china is used for both breakfast and dinner and the food presentation is to the highest of standards. Our wine list is small but eclectic and has been carefully chosen to complement our food. If you are not dining with us, Grasmere is full of interesting places to eat and we are more than happy to recommend and reserve tables for our guests.
