The Croft Caravan and Campsite is a small caravan site catering for families, couples and camping club members. The caravan park is located in a perfect central Lake District position, in picturesque Hawkshead village, once the home of Beatrix Potter. We're just 2 miles west of Lake Windermere, and Esthwaite Water is only a mere stroll away from the park. The caravan park is surround by glorious Lakeland Fells, perfect for walking and outdoor activities. These idyllic surroundings serve as a backdrop to The Croft.

The Croft has a large, ETC 4 star graded, well sheltered caravan and campsite. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead. The caravan and camping park facilities include a games room with tv, videos and games, showers and washrooms and disabled access shower & toilet, a laundry, milk delivery and hot drinks machine. Also available at the Croft are a choice of delightful self catering flats or deluxe static caravans. Our 28 ft static caravans sleep 6 guests, and are stylishly designed and appointed with fitted carpets and quality fittings. These caravans benefit from a large lounge with gas fire, colour tv, gas cooker, fridge and kettle. Two bedrooms are available, with an additional pull out double bed in the lounge. A shower room, wash basin and WC are inclusive as are all utensils, duvets/blankets and pillows. Electric lighting, gas and electric are also inclusive. Bed Linen can be hired from reception.
Rooms Description
For a little more luxury choose our larger 32ft Luxury Caravans. These caravans are as per 28ft caravans, but also have a video recorder, microwave oven and toaster. The bedrooms come complete with their own heaters. Nine well maintained holiday flats are also available to guests throughout the year. These include three ground floor flats, three situated on the first floor level and three split level flats. Each flat has its own distinctive views, some overlooking the fells and Hawkshead village. The main property is located in the centre of the village, however, it is usually approached by car from the North Lonsdale Road that circles Hawkshead on the eastern side.

Directions
Leave the M6 motorway at junction 36 and follow the A590 towards Ulverston and newby bridge. At Newby Bridge take the first right after the roundabout, then over the river bridge and follow the road for eight miles into Hawkshead. The entrance to the site can be found on North Lonsdale Road, that circles Hawkshead on the eastern side.
