Esthwaite How Farmhouse, which is situated on the edge of the village of Near Sawrey. An ideal location for touring the real Lakeland with lovely walks from the doorstep; we overlook the nearby Esthwaite water and open fields and countryside. A hearty Lakeland breakfast will set you up for the day and on your return you can relax by the log fire and enjoy a three course home cooked evening meal. We are not licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own wine.

We have many attractions that are close by- Beatrix Potters house-Hill Top, Hawkshead- a pretty village just down the road where William Wordsworth went to school and has many interesting shops. Grizedale Forest has lots of interesting walks and is only a short drive away. Windermere Lake and its many boat rides.
