Tottergill Farm consists of 5 idyllic self catering, character holiday cottages graded by Visit Britain as 4 and 5 star. All the holiday cottages are superb barn conversions, and all individually named to reflect their individual design. The cottages also combine both traditional and modern features to create a relaxing homely atmosphere. Guests can choose from "Low Barn Cottage", "Garth Cottage", "Gelt Cottage", "Gill Cottage" and the luxurious "Mill Barn Cottage", which is our largest cottage and a charmingly converted mill. Each has been decorated, furnished and equipped to the highest standard, with tasteful co-ordination of natural wood and complimentary colour schemes. Every room has been designed to offer maximum comfort with maximum facility, yet allowing each cottage to retain character and warmth of atmosphere.

The holiday cottages are perfectly placed for branching out to Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle and Penrith. Castle Carrock is the nearest village at just 2 miles away. This attractive village has many amenities including one country pub, a shop and a church. The local market town of Brampton is just 4 miles away which offers a more extensive range of amenities including various shops including newsagents, supermarkets, several pubs, coffee shops, a popular local restaurant, chinese and indian food take-aways, as well as local services for bus and rail travel. We're the perfect location for outdoor activities, and amongst the choice of activities nearby are canoeing, sailing and golf.

All our cottages enjoy stunning long distance views over open fields to the Lakeland hills or over the reservoir to the Scottish hills."Gelt" cottage is our newly upgraded 5 star cottage. It has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom bathroom with bath and shower over bath. "Garth" has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom plus bathroom with bath and seperate walk in shower. "Low Barn" has 1 double room and 1 twin room plus bathroom with bath and toilet. "Gill Cottage" has 1 double room and 1 single room plus a shower room with toilet. If guests require, a folding bed for an extra child or cot is available on request. These cottages have gas central heating plus a wood burning stove (logs are supplied free of charge). Kitchens have a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, and a dishwasher, Gelt and Garth also have a fridge/freezer. Other amenities include a colour TV (Gelt has a large lcd TV), CD cassette radio, video and DVD player. Parking Private for 2 vehicles per cottage. Dogs(2 maximum)are welcome in Mill Barn, Low Barn and Gill cottages for a small extra charge. There are 2 automatic washing machines and 2 tumble driers provided in a separate utility room which the cottages share. There is plenty of opportunity to relax outdoors and there is a garden for guests to enjoy and garden furniture is available. Also barbecue equipment is available. An old-fashioned English telephone box with payphone stands opposite the cottages and gas, electric, water and linen are all included in the price. If you're looking for a real character location for your holiday, choose Mill Barn Cottage, a superb converted mill featuring a fully restored water wheel. This exquisite conversion offers very high quality and character and enjoys magnificent views over Castle Carrock Reservoir towards the Solway Firth, Lakeland and the Scottish Hills. Mill Barn Cottage has two double and two twin bedrooms and two bathrooms with bath and WC. A cot or a folding bed for an extra child is available on request. The cottage is equipped with oil fired central heating, a wood burning stove (logs supplied free), an electric hob, an electric oven, a fridge, a dishwasher, a microwave, a colour TV, and a CD cassette radio, video and DVD player. All linen, central heating oil and electric is included in the price. Outside there is garden furniture and a barbecue is available. There is also a separate utility room with two automatic washing machines and tumble driers. Ample private parking is available. Opposite the cottage is an old-fashioned telephone box with payphone. The water supply is private.

We are centrally located for many fishing venues namely the River Eden, River Esk, River Eamont, River Irthing, North Tyne and course fishing lakes in Longtown, which contain many specimen fish. All these are within easy travelling distance of Tottergill Farm.
