Our six exclusive holiday cottages are accessed via a single track road around a reservoir, just outside the village of Castle Carrock. Comprising Tourist Board four and five star superb barn conversions, Tottergill is located in an unspoilt and often undiscovered part of Cumbria. Each cottage enjoys stunning panoramic views across open fields to the Lake Ditrict, or out over the reservoir to the Solway Firth, and/or stretching North to the Scottish Hills. Cottage gardens and surrounding fields are home to a variety of birds and other wildlife including frequent visits from our resident woodpeckers! All cottages have their own enclosed garden perfect for barbeques or just a glass of wine whilst taking in the view. Alternatively enjoy the scenery from indoors, snuggled up by the wood burning stove. Luxury accommodation in such a tranquil setting makes Tottergill an idyllic location for rest and relaxation.

The holiday cottages are perfectly placed on the edge of Castle Carrock, just 2 miles away. This quaint village features a small church, shop and renowned contemporary style pub/restaurant aswell as a second, more traditional country pub. Guests can enjoy walking into the village along the 1 mile country lane from Tottergill Farm. Further amenities can be found in Brampton, 6 miles away. Amblers and keen hikers alike will enjoy the many trails and footpaths through neighbouring fields and fells. Mountain bikers too will find a range of tracks right outside the front door. For those wishing to explore further, the historic city of Carlisle lies just 10 miles away, with Penrith, the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders within half an hours drive. Whether you’re looking to explore the sites and attractions of the Eden Valley or just want a quiet get-away Tottergill Farm suits all.

Mill Barn sleeps 8 + hot tub A superb converted mill featuring a fully restored water wheel. This exquisite conversion with it's own balcony offers very high quality and character and enjoys magnificent views over Castle Carrock Reservoir towards the Solway Firth, Lakeland and the Scottish Hills. Mill Barn includes it's own large private decked area complete with 5/6 person hot tub. This luxury four star cottage has two double and two twin bedrooms, one with full size bunk beds. There are two bathrooms with bath/shower and WC. Waston Cottage sleeps 6 + hot tub This exceptionally spacious cottage has 3 luxurious en-suite bedrooms, which can be either double or twin according to your party’s needs. 6 foot double beds, LCD TVs and ipod docks in each bedroom. One of the bedrooms is wheelchair accessible and on the same level as the living space. Watson cottage has open-plan kitchen, dining, living area on the first floor. This allows guests to enjoy the breathtaking views across the reservoir to Carlisle, and the Solway Firth. The living room has a log burning stove and double patio doors lead out to its own enclosed garden with hot tub. Equipped to 5 star standards. Low Barn sleeps 4 Tourist Board rated four star, Low barn has been tastefully converted to include exposed beams, a feature hayrack and it's own log burning stove. The cottage comprises one double, and one twin bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower over bath and has a split level kitchen/dining/lounge. Patio doors lead out from the kitchen to the cottage's own enclosed garden. Enjoying stunning views of the Lakeland hills this is the perfect base for a holiday of rest and relaxation, exploring the local area and visiting some of the many great local pubs and restaurants. Gelt Cottage sleeps 4 This five star, luxury cottage has one double bedroom with flat screen TV, and one twin bedroom. The contemporary black and chrome bathroom has a bath and shower over bath. A cream shaker style kitchen with granite worktops has been fitted, adding a tasteful modern twist to this country cottage. Gelt's spacious dining/lounge has a large flat screen TV and leather sofas and includes patio doors leading out to it's own enclosed garden which enjoys fantastic views of the Lakeland hills. Garth Cottage sleeps 4 Popular for its double aspect outlook, Garth enjoys panoramic views across the Lake District, Solway Firth and to the Scottish hills. This stunning cottage is Tourist Board rated five star. Comprising one double and one twin bedroom. Garth has one bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge features exposed beams, it's one log burning stove and has patio doors leading out to it's own enclosed gardens allowing guests to sit out and enjoy the fantastic view. Gill Cottage sleeps 3 A cosy romantic cottage with gallery double bedroom. Single bedroom accessed via double. Gill includes shower room, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with patio doors leading out to it's own enclosed garden. This cottage has breathtaking views over reservoir to Solway Firth, Lakeland and Scottish hills. A perfect coutry cottage tastefully converted, featuring exposed beams and log burning stove. Tourist board four star. If guests require, a folding bed for an extra child or cot is available on request. These cottages have gas central heating plus a wood burning stove (logs are supplied free of charge). Kitchens have a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, and a dishwasher, Gelt, Garth and Low Barn also have a fridge/freezer. Other amenities include large screen LCD TV, CD cassette radio, video and DVD player. Parking for 2 vehicles per cottage. Dogs(2 maximum)are welcome in Mill Barn, Low Barn and Gill cottages for a small extra charge. There are 2 automatic washing machines and 2 tumble driers provided in a separate utility room which the cottages share. Each cottage has its own garden furniture. Also barbecue equipment is available. Central heating, electric bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Directions
Castle Carrock lies on the B6413 road 4 miles south of the market town of Brampton, and is well signposted from the A69 Carlisle to Newcastle Road, 10 miles east of Carlisle. If travelling via the M6 motorway, leave at junction 43 and follow the A69 for two miles. Turn right at the traffic lights and follow the Castle Carrock signs(5 miles). At Castle Carrock turn right onto the B6413. After 300 yards turn left signed Tottergill and Roughethill.
