Skylark Cottages offer three self catering holiday properties in highly individual converted farm buildings in the Bailey Valley, northern Cumbria - not far from the Scottish Borders. Saughs Farm occupies some 110 acres of grass and conservation land and is bordered by the Kershope Forest. There are panoramic views of the Christainbury Crags and the Bewcastle Fells and miles of countryside and bridleways just waiting to be explored. The farm has excellent horse keeping facilities with multiple options to suit the needs of your horse.

The farm buildings have been thoughtfully renovated to provide individual holiday accommodation, full of traditional character. Each is centrally heated and has a wood burning stove to ensure your comfort, whatever the time of year. They are equipped to a high standard with washer/dryer, fridge freezer, dishwasher and digital television and DVD. Each property has its own patio with outdoor furniture and barbecue for al fresco dining.

Rooms Description

Curlew Cottage has two double bedrooms and a double bunk with single upper bunk, sleeping seven. Lapwing Cottage sleeps four in one double room and one bunk room. Swallow Cottage sleeps four in one double room and one loft room with twin beds. All cottages have sofa beds with additional sleeping.

Saughs Farm warmly offers a unique experience for both horse and rider. Bask in the experience and enjoyment of unlimited miles, views and nature of Forest hacking. If desired combine hacking pleasures with developing your ‘Feel’ , Compassionate Horsemanship and Insight over the course of a few days or a week.
