Bleach Green Cottage in the stunning Ennerdale Valley is located in a walkers' paradise, with fell walking territory just outside your door. The holiday cottage was built in 1866, and was originally occupied by the manager and assistant of the Ennerdale bleach works. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Ennerdale Valley in a venue providing a peaceful and restful holiday with the lake and surrounding fells on your doorstep. Dogs are welcome in the cottage, and there is access to Ennerdale Water, and the River Ehen. There is a large wall mounted map in the kitchen/diner for your information, making route planning further afield easy. For a drink or a meal, we would recommend The Shepherds Arms in the local village. The food is good so it is popular and booking is recommended, especially at weekends or other busy times.
The holiday cottage is fully equipped with central heating and double glazing throughout. There is the option of a gas back-boiler or an immersion heater for hot water in the summer months. For extra comfort there is a gas fire in the lounge for thosechilly evenings. The property has one double and two single beds plus the option of a double bed/settee in the lounge, offering space for a maximum of 6 adults. There is also a crib or cot available upon request. The kitchen/diner can seat and serve six, with sufficient seating in the lounge for the same number. Outside, a selection of garden furniture plus the patio is perfect for enjoying those outdoor warm summer evenings.
