The cottage is located in the heart of the village, next door to Post Office and 100m from the Shepherds Arms Hotel, which serves food. There is a children's playground 200m down the road. The property is individually designed and very well equipped offering guests a real home-from-home feel. It is comfortably furnished, with fell views and a pleasing rear outlook over fields to the River Ehen. Red squirrels are occasional visitors to the south facing enclosed garden. Endless outdoor activities available in the area include superb walking, climbing, riding, cycling, fishing. For hikers walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast Path, Heckbarley is a cosy home-from-home right on your route.
