Park Cottage Guesthouse in historic Dalton-in-Furness is perfect for guests seeking a relaxing break. Park Cottage is a beamed country house, centrally heated, dating from the 17th century but with well-appointed rooms and quality furnishings.3 Double en-suite room,(NO SINGLES, SORRY) Set in 4 acres of grounds, in a secret corner of Furness, the Guest House has ample parking and is non-smoking. We regret we do not take pets and we take a minimum of 2 night bookings at weekends, and minimum 3 nights at Bank Hol weekends. Graded AA**** and ECT **** and SILVER AWARD the guesthouse is surrounded by woodland and farmland, and overlooks a trout lake. The dining room overlooks an enclosed courtyard with plants and waterfeature and the many birds feeding at the bird-table. This is a truly relaxing place, and we have many repeat bookings. Tourist Information, books and maps are available to guests in our reception area. Soak up the relaxing atmosphere of our garden, with seating, where you will hear a variety of birdsong, or the Residents Lounge, (or Snug), There is a log-burning stove for chillier evenings, and comfortable seating. The grandfather clock dating back to the late 1700's was made locally. Guests can expect an extensive breakfast menu, which includes healthy options such as Fresh Fruit and Yoghurt, and our renowned, hearty Cumbrian Breakfast of bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, blackpudding, beans and fried bread.
