Hampsfell House Hotel in beautiful Grange Over Sands was originally a private residence, named Sandyfield House and was build in 1800. This character Peninsula hotel is graded 2 stars, and is set in its own 2 acres of private grounds surrounded by woodland and fells. We offer guests a peaceful and tranquil base, conveniently placed just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Ample free parking is available within the hotel grounds and guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the beauty of the hotel garden, with it's many birds and an occasional glimpse of the deer that stroll in the garden. We also offer a selection of special break deals.

The hotel has two traditional lounges, one with a magnificent brick fireplace with an open log fire on cooler days and the second lounge is dedicated to non-smoking. Relax with an aperitif from the well stocked bar. Our elegantly designed dining room offers the best of Cumbrian fresh produce, traditional English and International cuisine with a choice of freshly prepared dishes from a table d'hôte menu. The extensive choice of fine wines has been carefully selected to complement the menu. Every morning traditional English breakfast is served in the dining room with a choice of cereals, fresh fruit juice and including such delicacies as Manx Kipper and Finnan Haddock.
