Ravenglass is an unspoilt and picturesque village in the Lake District National Park. Ravenglass estuary is a haven for birdwatchers and conservationists. A stroll along the sands reveals the rich history of the village, once a Roman port and favoured destination for smugglers. All guests receive free entry to Muncaster's 70 acres of gardens, the World Owl Centre and Meadowvole Maze, and discounted entry to the medieval castle, home of the Pennington family. Other nearby attractions include a miniature railway with L'al Ratty for the kids, miles of beautiful countryside, and the visitor centre in Eskdale at the foot of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. Visitors looking for an action packed holiday can enjoy superb fell walking, dedicated cycle routes, horse riding, golf and fishing.

The Coachman''s Quarters offers 4 Star Awarded B&B Accommodation in a spectacular setting. Elegantly presented, there are ten rooms available to guests. One room has facilities for the disabled, while another is dog friendly. Within the accommodation there is a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, washer, dryer and ironing board, dining room and lounge with TV and games for residents to use. All rooms have TV's and tea and coffee making facilities. The accommodation is a no smoking premises. Guests have free entry to the Gardens, Owl Centre and Maze and discounted entry into the Castle and, best of all, when everyone's gone home, you have the gardens to enjoy all to yourself!

Directions
From the South, leave the M6 at Junction 36. Follow signs to Barrow (A590). Before reaching Barrow turn right at Greenodd onto the A5092 (signposted Western Lake District, Workington and Whitehaven). This joins the the A595 which will bring you to Muncaster. The journey will take approximately an hour and a quarter. From the North, from Carlisle follow the A595 to Cockermouth, and continue on past Whitehaven, this road bypasses Ravenglass and goes straight through to Muncaster. This journey should take about an hour and a half.
