All cottages are totally private, in a tranquil forest setting and overlook the western shores of Lake Winderemere - an ideal Lake District location. We offer the highest standards in self-catering cottages, with extensive facilities easily accessible to guests. All holiday cottages are surrounded by beautiful countryside and woodland. Graythwaite cottages range in size to accommodate 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 guests. Each is fully equipped with central heating and open fire or wood-burning stove for which fuel is provided, as well as fully equipped kitchens with microwave ovens. Expect modern bathrooms, duvets with linen, and cots and high chairs by arrangement. Our larger cottages have dishwashers and freezers. We offer guests superb facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool which is open daily, table tennis, free fly fishing on a local trout lake and access to a fitness suite for a small charge.

No need to worry about parking as all our properties come with ample car parking space. Although the cottages are in a peaceful setting, conveniences such as shops are available just a few miles away, and there is a pub at a similar distance. We do ask that guests bring their own towels. Shared facilities available to all guests include a payphone, a heated drying room, a barbecue and patio with furniture. Guests have use of private lake frontage to Lake Windermere. The indoor heated swimming pool, perfect for the kids, does have limited changing facilities. It is open daily from 8.45am to 7.45pm in the Summer and from 8.45am to 7pm in the Winter. There is also a superb fitness suite available to guests, as well as bike hire available on site.

All our Graythwaite luxury cottages are single properties in their own grounds in a tranquil forest setting, some on the shores of Lake Winderemere, so you really feel you're out in the Lake District countryside. Expect the highest of standards, as we're passionate about providing a four and five star service for our guests. Each holiday cottage and barn conversion have central heating (some underfloor) and open fire or wood-burning stove for which fuel is provided. Each has a well equipped kitchen including microwave oven, auto washing machine, modern bathroom, duvets with linen, cots and high chairs by arrangement. Colour TV, digital TV. We offer free fly fishing and a natural purified lake water supply. For entertainment there's a shared games room with table tennis. We also welcome well behaved pets, but only 1 per visiting party.
