Maia Lodge offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a superb location at the end of the Hadrian's Wall walk. The property is situated on the Solway coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and enjoys fabulous views across the Solway Firth to Scotland.The Trail passes our house and we are only 100yards from the official start/finish of the Hadrians' Wall Trail.

Visitors to Maia Lodge B&B are sure to enjoy the wildlife of the area and it is a birdwatcher's paradise - at the western end of the village is an RSPB Nature Reserve. Bowness-on-Solway is a quiet village but there is a great bus service to nearby Carlisle, famous for its castle, cathedral and museum. During the summer months walkers can use the Hadrians Wall bus service which runs right past our house making it easy to find us.

We offer one single and two twin bedrooms, each sharing a newly refurbished bathroom. Bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds, hospitality tray, hand wash basin, hairdryer and TV with Freeview.The single room has a wardrobe & comfortable leather arm chair. The upstairs room enjoys the fabulous view over the Solway Firth looking towards Scotland.

Uninhibited views of the Solway Firth. HOT TUB available for guests' use. Bring your swimwear. (Extra charge applicable) Towels and slippers provided for use of the tub. Flasks and water bottles refilled. Packed lunches by arrangement. Evening meals available at nearby pub. We will make a booking for you upon request.
