A warm and friendly bed and breakfast in the quiet village of Bowness-on-Solway with excellent views across the estuary towards Scotland

Maia Lodge offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a superb location at the end of the Hadrian's Wall walk, ideal for walkers. The property is situated on the Solway coast, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and enjoys fabulous views across the estuary to Scotland.

Visitors are sure to enjoy the wildlife of the area and it is a birdwatcher's paradise, and at the western end of the village is an RSPB Nature Reserve. Bowness-on-Solway is a quiet village but there is a great bus service to nearby Carlisle, famous for its cathedral and castle. During the summer months walkers can use the Hadrians Wall bus service which runs from Wallsend to Bowness.

Rooms Description

We offer one single and two twin bedrooms, each sharing a newly refurbished bathroom. Bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds, a wardrobe, hospitality tray, hand wash basin, hairdryer and TV with Freeview.
