Barkinbeck Holiday Cottage is perfectly placed close to The Lake District and The Yorkshire National Park, between Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale. This charming cottage sits within our small upland farm, and offers guests spectacular panoramic views to the coast, the Pennines and Lakeland fells. If you're looking for privacy and a quiet restful holiday then Barkinbeck Cottage is perfect. Guests will love the tasteful internal decor and layout which is the result of a recent conversion from an old barn and milking parlour. This self-catering accommodation sleeps 4 people, and has special facilities for disabled guests. The location is most convenient for both Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale, a bustling market town with lots of country pubs and specialist shops, and it's only five miles away from the cottage. Kendal of course is a South Lake District hotspot crammed with museums, a lively market, lots of exquisite shops, pubs and inns and restaurants. Guests also have easy access to Lake Windermere and Bowness.

The cottage accommodation is all on ground level with easy access. There is ample free parking, with level access from a concreted parking area outside. The cottage is has been carefully renovated with disabled guests in mind. All doorways are wide enough to allow wheelchair access with ample space within the rooms to manoeuvre. The bathroom has a wheel in shower area with a wall mounted seat, and there are grab rails round the toilet, basin and shower.
