NIYHA are a collection of stylish, family friendly boltholes. The seven contemporary self catering apartments are three star to four star graded (Visit Britain/ English Tourism Council) and command an enviable central location within the market town of Kendal. Our interiors have been designed to help you enjoy our fantastic surroundings, with leather sofas, contemporary art work, cream linens and towelling, thoughtful soft furnishings and a good stock of games, local information and guides to help you enjoy your holiday. We are just a short stroll away from Kendal’s specialist shops, cafés and restaurants and a bus stop with routes serving the Lake-District (if you pack your hiking boots the ‘Lakes’ is bursting at the seams with good walks) If not in search of a mountain to climb then there is plenty of ‘wandering’ potential both in and around Kendal. Whether looking for a bolt-hole, group accommodation (we can accommodate groups of up to 30) a family holiday or reunion with friends, an adventure base or just a quiet place to work, we hope you will seek us out.

There are seven apartments to choose from 'new inn works, 'weavers', 'castle view' and 'the old school house' apartments combine Victorian architecture with contemporary living these duplex apartments boast part double height ceilings and large windows that allow masses of natural light into the apartments.'the loft' and two 'warehouse' apartments are recent additions to the property portfolio and reflect the Victorian architecture of buildings around the yard in this conservation area. All apartments have cream linens and towelling, leather sofas and WIFI. Flowers and a welcome pack of local produce greets guests on arrival.

New Inn Yard Holiday Apartments command an enviable central location within the market town of Kendal and only a fifteen minute drive from the Lake District hub Windermere. Cream Linens and towelling (beds made up for your arrival) Flowers and a Welcome Pack of local produce greet guests on arrival. WIFI included in tariff. Directions

by road: From the North/South Leave the M6 at junction 36. Take the first exit onto the dual carriageway (A590–A591) remain on the dual carriageway for 5.3 miles, Exit when you see the first exit sign for ‘Kendal’ (A6) At the roundabout take the first exit onto Milnthorpe Road (A6) and continue through traffic lights. You will enter the one way system as you see the river and parish church. Keep to the left lane, you will pass the Brewery Arts Centre on your left and then proceed carefully as Yard 94 is just after ‘The New Inn’, along a narrow cobbled lane (New Inn Yard Holiday Apartments signage here) by train: The nearest mainline station is ‘Oxenholme the Lake District’, 2.7 miles from NIYHA (with luggage a taxi, bus or train connection to Kendal railway station is recommended) Kendal railway station is a 10 minute walk from the apartments.
