Ashes Barn B&B is a recent barn conversion combining all modern amenities with the character of a traditional Lake District B&B. The Barn is set in the heart of the countryside surrounding Kendal, and offers guests superb rural views and excellent walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits straight from the door. The Barn is centrally heated throughout for your comfort, with a traditional cosy log fire in the lounge. Parking is available for guests, together with safe storage for bicycles. Walkers will be glad to hear there are laundry and drying facilities also provided on-site.

Owner, Gillian takes great care with the quality of food that is provided for guests. Much of this is cooked on the kitchen's Aga, including home made bread, biscuits and cakes. Wherever possible use is made of quality local Lake District produce. Guests can expect tasty evening meals and substantial packed lunches, if requested. In the winter Gillian runs tailor made Aga cookery breaks, which are ideal for those new to the Aga or experienced enthusiasts alike! A cookware shop is also on-site. The Barn has a choice of double ensuite, double or twin rooms. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and contain tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, clock radios and colour televisions. All our rooms have delightful rural views of the countryside surrounding Kendal.
