The Glen is located just a short stroll from a local Inn where you will find a superb range of beers, wines & traditional fayre made from finest fresh local produce. After a relaxing meal why not take a pleasant walk along the Helm and take in the breathtaking views. The Glen also boasts a wonderful hot tub, just perfect for relaxing after a day out on the hills. Kendal itself offers a great range of shops, a theatre, 2 castles, museums, a hoast of historical buildings and a range of fine restaurants and pubs. Kendal is often seen as the Southern gateway to the Lake District, being only around 9 miles from Windermere and around 30 miles from Keswick. The other lakes are all within an hour or two's travelling by car from the town, as are locations for walks and rambles, both gentle and demanding.

Rooms Description

The Glen offers a choice of ensuite rooms to guests, comprising kingsize, double, twin and family options. Family and twin rooms have a view of The Helm plus a new large ground floor suite with a king size bed and en-suite shower. For that special occasion there are two special rooms, a Four poster suite with en-suite Jacuzzi/Spa and shower. A double room with large en-suite bathroom with double jacuzzi/spa and shower both these come with aromatherapy oils and candles. We can also provide Champagne, flowers or handmade chocolates for £30.00. Bathrobes provided. Pets welcome (except in the 4 poster suite).
