Hollin Root Farm B&B dates back to 1844 and is a peaceful lakeland farmhouse, set in beautiful open countryside in the tiny hamlet of Garth Row. Ideally located just off the A6 yet only three miles from the market town of Kendal on the very edge of the Lake District National Park. We are perfectly placed for exploring the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales or for a convenient stop over for those travelling to and from Scotland. A great place from which to unwind and relax and take in the natural beauty which is all around this area.

Hollin Root Farm is an ideal choice for those wishing to explore this wonderful area. Kendal is a small town in Cumbria, England. It is the largest town in the district of South Lakeland and the historic boundary of Westmorland and also the third largest town in the county of Cumbria (after Carlisle and Barrow-in-Furness). Kendal is famous for its mint cake and has a good selections of shops, restaurants, theatre and pubs. Lake Windermere with its busy town, boat trips and excellent walking is just 8 miles away and is a great place to spend a day or more. The whole area is ideal for those who enjoy walking, cycling and the great outdoors.

Hollin Root Farm offers a spacious ground floor room which can be configured as a double, twin, triple or family room. The room is fully en-suite and has tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV with Freeview channels and free internet access. Looking out from your window you have beautiful, open views of the large gardens and fields and hills in the distance. There are excellent eating out venues in nearby Kendal and surrounding areas. We serve excellent full English or Continental breakfasts with our own fresh free range eggs and home made preserves. Packed lunches are available and we also cater for vegetarians. Children of all ages are very welcome and we also allow pets to come stay with us after prior arrangement.
