Hillside Bed & Breakfast is in the historic market town of Kendal. Located in a quiet conservation area in an elevated position, just a 3 minute walk from the town centre, you will find Hillside an ideal base for exploring the "auld grey town". Hillside is a Victorian house (dated at around 1880) offering six bright, clean and comfortable guest bedrooms. The house is centrally heated and offers hair dryers, clothes iron, drying facilities for wet coats and trays for muddy boots. Our aim is to make your stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible." The Abbot Hall /Museum of Lakeland Life, Quaker Tapestry Exhibition & Kendal Museum. Kendal is also know for its Excellent Shopping - many of the high street names as well as independent local shops including Farrer's (tea and coffee merchants - trading since 1819) and The Famous 1657 Chocolate House. Eating and Drinking - a wealth of cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars. We can also recommend several pubs, all a short distance from Kendal, offering excellent food. For Walkers we are close to Dales Way, Cumbrian Way, Westmoorland Way, local fells and town walks. Another favorite activity is Golf at Kendal Golf club. As you can see there is something for everyone in kendal making the ideal tourist destination which we are right in the heart of, we look forward to seeing you.
