The Beech House Hotel is a lovely B&B perfectly located in a peaceful conservation area within the Lake District's attractive town of Kendal. Beech House has been awarded the coveted English Tourism Council's 5 diamond silver rating for quality and service. We offer 6 bedrooms, 2 deluxe and 4 standard/classic bedrooms. Sorry we have no family facilities or twin rooms.

Fine food is on the menu at Beech House. Guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the south facing breakfast room. Our Breakfasts are prepared using only the best local produce. Choose from the selection of fresh seasonal fruits, cereals and juices, followed by a variety of cooked dishes from traditional full English breakfast with Bacon and tasty thin cumberland Sausages from Cumbria Fellbred. Or perhaps Pancakes drizzled with Lemon and Sugar are your preference. Plenty of fresh pots of coffee and tea with toast are of course standard. PLEASE NOTE - ONLY TWO NIGHT BOOKINGS AT WEEKEND

The deluxe rooms, the Penthouse and Greenside have quality king size beds with crisp bed linen, snug sofa beds, large wardrobes and flat screen televisions. Both de-luxe and classic bedrooms have hairdryers and refreshment trays and the detail is complete with DVD and videos players. With access to a fridge stocked with a fine selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with an honesty payment system. Beech House Hotel is perfect for central and south Lake District locations. If you are a fellwalker, the famous peaks of Great Langdale, Coniston and Kentmere are just a short journey away. Kendal has a superb range of museums, including the Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, with great introductions to the books of A.W.Wainwright who lived in Kendal in later life. Kendal also has one of the best art galleries in the North, Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Kendal Golf Course is situated behind Beech House. We are in easy walking distance of many fine restaurants and pubs.

Directions
From the south to Beech House off the M6 or A65, from the roundabout where the M6 (Junction 36) meets A65 from Skipton Follow signs for Kendal 8 miles approx. Follow signs for Kendal South and Town Centre. At the second set of traffic lights turn left (look out for antique fire place shop). Follow this road, Gillingate to the cross roads at the top Beech House is facing the cross roads on the opposite right hand corner. From the North, M6 turn off for Shap at junction 39. Turn right at the end of the slip road and follow this road for less than a mile and then turn right at the junction following signs for Kendal along the A6 (approx 12 miles from the Shap turn off to Kendal). As you enter Kendal heading towards the town centre the Parker and Parker Porche garage will be on your right as you aproach The County Hotel. Turn right at the mini roundabout passing in front of the County Hotel. Following the road round straight through various traffic lights till you have to take a sharp right hand bend to join up with the Windermere road. Heading up the Winderemere road look out for signs for the Golf Course and a small corner shop on your right. Immediately across the road from the shop is Queens Road on your left. Turning left onto Queens Road. Follow along this road over many speed bumps to the crossroads at the end where the road has become High Tenterfell. As you sit at the crossroads Beech House is on your left and our car park is just behind you.
