The Ouse Bridge House is situated between Keswick and Cockermouth close to the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake in the hamlet of Dubwath. Exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 Westbound towards Keswick. By-pass Keswick on the A66 following the signs for Cockermouth. The road follows the western shore of Bassenthwaite Lake for about 5 miles. There is a short stretch of dual carriageway (this used to be the old road and has a number of bends). Approximately 250 yards after the end of the dual carriageway take the first right turn onto a minor road, signposted Dubwath & Castle Inn. After just 50 yards, turn right again onto the B5291, signposted for Castle Inn. The Ouse Bridge House is a further 50 yards on the left, set back from the road.
