Redmain House dates from the 1690's and is a traditional Cumbrian long house with attached stone barns from which the holiday cottages have been converted to a very high standard, whilst retaining many original features. The cottage windows look out onto the gravel courtyard with gently rising ground behind, planted with a small deciduous wood under planted with bulbs. Some games and books are provided for all guests to enjoy. There is also a wildlife pond and a formal herb garden and three outdoor barbecues. On your arrival there will be enough tea, coffee, sugar and basics like soap and washing up liquid to get you started.
