The Anchorage is a lovely guest house with private parking, ideally situated only a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre, the lake and the nearby fells. Keswick is an interesting town with plenty to do including many unique shops, museums, cafes, pubs, restaurants and a swimming pool. However, the main activities enjoyed in the local area are outdoor pursuits such as fell walking, cycling, golf, canoeing and sailing.
There is a sunny garden area in at the front of the guest house where guests can sit and relax. Cycle storage and drying facilities are also available. The home cooked breakfast is a choice of a full English breakfast, a vegetarian breakfast or a bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese or scrambled eggs. Cereals and fresh fruit are on offer as well as tea or coffee with or without caffeine. Soya and rice milk are always available. Fair Trade and local produce are used wherever possible.
Rooms Description
There are seven guest bedrooms, of which six have en-suite facilities. All rooms have a TV and DVD player with a stock of DVDs available. The rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits, as well as hairdryers and alarm clocks. The three double rooms all have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. There are also two single rooms, and two family rooms which can be used as twin or triple rooms to accommodate three adults. Both have scenic views of the nearby mountains and fells.
Specialities
Packed lunches and hot soup are available on request. Flask refills of tea and coffee are available free of charge. There is a private car park at the rear of the guest house.

Directions
From the A66 from Penrith, follow the first signpost for Keswick, at the T-junction turn right. At the Conservative Club turn left into Greta Street, go straight across the junctions into Eskin Street and down to the end - we are on the left hand corner of Eskin Street and Ambleside Road.
